  • Matan is a creative and talented photographer. He is also a great nature guide and photography instructor.

  • Thank you for spending 8 great days with me in Gambia. It wouldn’t have been the same without you. You taught me a lot and helped me, and you were a great travel companion.

It’s not obvious that two people get along so well while spending so many hours together every day.

So best of all, I feel like we have forged a new friendship. That’s in addition to having a great photography teacher to continue learning from and a great trip planner.

Looking forward to more adventures with you.

    Nirit peer

  • First and foremost, we’re talking about a truly captivating personality.
He is courteous, friendly, patient, and open-minded.
He explains things in an approachable way and adapts to every skill level.

He possesses extensive knowledge and exceptional abilities, both in photography and editing.

It’s clear that he loves what he does and genuinely strives to share his knowledge and passion for photography with anyone who is interested.
He’s talented on another level, simply an artist!

Learning from him is a real pleasure. He has a unique eye that spots compositions and photo opportunities you don’t come across every day.

I wish Matan great success, and I hope I’ll have the chance to join him on many more photography journeys and workshops.

    With deep appreciation.

  • Truth is, I’ve only attended once but it’s easy to fall for Matan right away.
He’s a warm, smiling, and funny person who clearly loves nature.

I really enjoyed the workshop I participated in. On the practical side, I got answers to all my questions, and of course, I also gained valuable knowledge in theory and editing stages.

Looking forward to the next workshops!

There is something here at the desert that is beyo There is something here at the desert that is beyond words, beyond imagination..
I have always been fascinated and curious to explore, it's as if my soul belongs here and always looking for a way back.
A feeling only desert dwellers can I understand..
the land is striped and exposed revealing past stories of ancient times..
fossils and geological shifts, times where water covered the earth and extinct creatures where thriving.
All is here for us to explore and discover.
every walk i take i find something that is linked to the past.
It's as if something kept it safe for us so we can reconnect with old times, it's like something wanted us to remember what was here a millions of years before us..
Wild, untamed yet peaceful and calm and now..
Once again I get to call this place home.

Have a wonderful weekend wherever you are.

Great news.. I have moved my life base to the dese Great news.. I have moved my life base to the desert, I'm back to where it all started Kibutz Groffit, Arava Desert.

I have now rented 2 apartments, one for myself and the other for you :)

Now I can host my workshops at the desert on full board basis.

Airport pickup with a 4x4 fully rigged for photography, chef cooked meals and nice authentic desert home for my guests.
We have an international airport near Eilat and only 20 minutes drive from the Kibutz.

Our desert is full of wildlife, the landscapes are amazing, and ofcourse the night skies are full of stars.

Nubian Ibex, Gazelles, Wild asses, Wolves, Striped hyena, Caracals, Vultures, Eagles, Hawks, Flamingos and so much more.

Eilat is also one of the best birds migration routes between Europe and Africa, birders from all over the world are coming here at migration season.
We have hides/blinds for optimal distances, beautiful reflection pools.

The red sea snorkeling and diving scene is insane, there us so much to see here :)

You get the point.. you arrive at the desert, I pick you up and we explore the desert day and night.

I'm excited for this new chapter in my life and looking forward to start exploring and hosting workshops here.

Dm me for more info and pricing.

Real authentic experiences became something rare a Real authentic experiences became something rare almost like the subjects we are photographing.
It seems as if people prefer instant results and shortcuts instead of hard work and dedication.

Here are my thoughts..
Being original, creative and authentic in a world where there is a lot of fake/ai around, is actually a huge edge on the field.

Don't get me wrong.. I use ai myself for certain things and surely it is productive and helpful for many things and I'm barely scraping the surface of it yet it cannot replace the real thing no matter what.

I guess just like anything we need to find the correct way of using it without loosing our true colors.

Have a wonderful week everyone.

Photography isn’t about showing what you saw. It’s Photography isn’t about showing what you saw.
It’s about making others feel it.
Technical skill will get you in the door…
but emotion is what makes people stay.
The real shift happens when you start asking:
— What do I want this image to say?
— What do I want someone to feel when they see it?
Because powerful images are intentional.
They are built on:
Light.
Timing.
Restraint.
Not every photo deserves to be shared.
Only the ones that stay with you do.

What's better than one wolf? Two wolves and a full What's better than one wolf? Two wolves and a full moon.

Spent all night out, the moon lit the desert and it made it easy for me to track and spot. This morning a pack wolves went for the hunt, I stayed static and watched them take down a gazelle while the sun rised and the moon set. Such a beautiful sight to see.

Hopefully this will encourage you to go out and explore.
